OMDOC Status

The project has completed the initial phase of language and tools development, and OMDoc has been used in various experiments and projects.

The current released format (OMDoc 1.2) incorporates the experinces gained in previous verions and is considered the mature state of OMDoc 1.

Work on OMDoc Version 2 has started: see our development wiki and issue tracker. To get to OMDoc 2.0, we will gradually introduce the disruptive changes in the pre-2.0 versions OMDoc1.3 - OMDoc1.9..

Get acquainted

A good starting point for learning about OMDoc are these web pages and of course the Specification that describes OMDoc1.2.

Tools

A representation format is only as good as the respective tools and systems are. Therefore tool development will be the main concern in the next future.

The omdoc format will continue to evolve. A development snapshot can be retrieved from subversion repository (trunk)
